Our Story

As a student, I have been captivated by Japanese music, especially City Pop. However, I came to realize that it's not easy for music fans abroad to get their hands on such records. Wanting to change that, I decided to start Hoshi Records. 

The name "Hoshi Records" comes from the Japanese word 星 (Hoshi), which means "star". It's also inspired by my surname. I chose this name with the hope of letting Japan's rich music culture shine like a star for people around the world. Through this service, we aim to deliver records directly from Japan and share the beauty of Japanese music with people across the globe.
