Hi-Fi Set – Hi-Fi Set (1975 Original Press / ETP-72029)
The debut album by Hi-Fi Set, featuring “Sotsugyo Shashin” and poetic city pop harmony.

Product Description:
Released in 1975, this is the very first album by Hi-Fi Set — a vocal trio celebrated for their lush harmonies and refined pop sensibility. The album opens with the soft instrumental “Overture,” leading into “Sotsugyo Shashin,” written by Yumi Arai — a defining ballad of 70s Japan. With gentle arrangements and introspective lyrics, tracks like “Mune no Nukumori” and “Kyou to Ashita no Aida ni” paint a vivid portrait of youthful emotion in urban Tokyo.
It’s an essential piece for those exploring the roots of city pop, before the genre even had a name.
