Originally released in 1975, Songs is the only album by Sugar Babe and a landmark in Japanese pop history. Combining elements of soul, AOR, and soft rock, the album broke new ground by blending Western musical influences with Japanese lyrics and melodies.

This 50th Anniversary Edition, released in 2025, features fully remastered audio, a faithful reproduction of the original jacket, and includes a large-format “Mega Jacket” (24cm × 24cm) as a bonus insert. It also adds a bonus track, “Sugar,” offering a fresh perspective on a foundational album in the City Pop genre.
